2 weeks agoI used to love this place. I had been coming with my son for about two years. However, recently they decided to completely change the balls they use to a version that is extremely rough on bats. You are much more likely to break your bat at these cages than used to be the case. Also, expect a lot of hand stinging even for reasonably well hit balls.I assume they changed the balls for cost reasons, but they completely ignored the impact on the customer when implementing this change. It’s very disappointing as I used to go Home Run City weekly throughout most of the year, but now I’m mostly focused on finding alternatives.Otherwise, the environment is clean and well-maintained. They have that still going for them.

9 months agoThe cages are better maintained and all of them worked when I went, which is vastly improved from what I can say about Turtle Cove in City Island. Each token will probably get you 15 pitches, not 20 as advertised. They have a large assortment of snacks, food, and drinks for purchase. Machine only takes cash for bating tokens. Better alternative destination for batting practice, if Turtle Cove has disappointed you, as it has for me.
