Very disappointed with our experience today. The manager personally told us my daughter couldn’t ride the go-karts because her hair was “too long,” even though this has never been an issue before. The go-karts were the main reason we came, so we ended up leaving. It’s really unfortunate because we’ve been coming here for years and have celebrated birthdays and special occasions here. My daughter was extremely sad, and this experience definitely changed how we feel about coming back.

I don’t know what happened to this place I use to come here with my kids all the time!! Today I came to meet with family and as I was playing golf rats came out of the bush areas one came so close to running over my foot I was in flip flops I almost fainted!!! Please exterminate before allowing kids to play here! Not mice rats !!!! Huge RATS !!!

DONT GO TO FUNWORKS IF YOU HAVE LONG HAIR Funworks seriously needs to reevaluate the way they enforce their hair policy for the go-karts. I completely understand requiring long hair to be SECURED for safety. What I absolutely do NOT agree with is requiring customers to TAKE THEIR HAIR DOWN IN FRONT OF EMPLOYEES AND COMPLETE STRANGERS just so staff can inspect it and decide whether their hair is too long to ride. That is invasive, humiliating, degrading, and completely inappropriate. No one should be forced to undo their hairstyle and expose the full length of their hair in front of a crowd of strangers just to prove their hair length to an employee. For many people, their hair and hairstyle are personal. This requirement can be especially uncomfortable for people wearing braids, protective styles, extensions, wigs, or other hairstyles that cannot simply be taken down and put right back up. A legitimate safety policy should require long hair to be SECURED. Period. If someone’s hair is properly pinned up and safely contained, why should they have to take it down in public for an inspection? This experience made us feel singled out, embarrassed, and discriminated against. Whether discrimination is their intention or not, Funworks needs to recognize how inappropriate and unequal this policy can feel to customers. Safety rules are understandable. Forcing customers to take their hair down in front of strangers for an employee to inspect is not. There has to be a safer, more respectful, and more inclusive way to enforce this policy without humiliating paying customers. The hair policy specifically says Hair securely tied up, but they make you take your hair down to show them the length which is insane

THE LADY WENT TO THE CAR AND CUT HER HAIR HOW DEGRADING Extremely Disappointed and Upset With Funworks I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by how a female guest was treated at Funworks while trying to ride the go-karts. Staff argued with her about the length of her hair and insisted that she unpin and take down her hair so they could inspect it in front of everyone standing in line. What makes this even more upsetting is that the guest ultimately felt she had to go and cut her hair just to satisfy the staff and be allowed to participate. Imagine how degrading and humiliating that must have felt—to have your personal appearance and hair publicly challenged to the point where you feel pressured to cut your hair. If Funworks has a legitimate safety policy concerning hair length, there should be a professional and respectful way to enforce it. Guests should not be required to unpin or take down their hair in front of a crowd, nor should they feel pressured to cut their hair to appease staff. The way this situation was handled felt discriminatory, humiliating, and, from our perspective, racist and unethical. Safety rules should be applied consistently to everyone, without singling people out or publicly embarrassing them. I hope Funworks management takes this seriously, investigates what happened, and reviews how employees are enforcing this policy. No guest should leave an amusement park feeling degraded because of the way their hair looks.
