Our main goal was to provide a quality teaching environment with professional instruction to enhance the baseball and softball experience for players at all levels and help them reach their goals. In setting forth on the journey to accomplish this vision, D-BAT opened its original location in a small facility in North Dallas with 6 employees – D-BAT believed that the best way to teach the game was by getting into the details of baseball and softball with each and every player and instructing them as individuals.

5 months agoSeriously Disappointed at D-Bat TodayAlright, let me tell you, today was hands down the worst experience I've ever had at any D-Bat location. I'm still pretty annoyed about it.I walked up to the front desk, ready to hit some balls, and what do I see? Five kids just glued to their phones. I stood there, waiting for someone to even acknowledge me, hoping for a simple "hey there!" or "how can I help?" Instead, after what felt like forever, one of them finally looks up and just goes, "whatcha need?" Seriously? So, I asked for two credits for the slowpitch machine. I swiped one credit, and the machine just... died. Lights on, but no balls coming out. I peeked in the little window and saw four balls just sitting there, not moving.Back I go to the front desk, telling them the machine isn't working. No "oops, sorry about that!" No "let me take a look." The guy just grabs some keys, still on his phone, slowly walks over to the machine, gives it one turn with the key, and casually says, "it should be good now."The whole thing was a total letdown. No apologies, no real help, just a bunch of people who clearly didn't care. Not the D-Bat experience I'm used to at all.

7 months agoWhen you go to bed, you get what you get.The Garland Facilities is probably the nicest one I’ve seen in the east side of Dallas and up north. It would probably be the one in Melissa. But this one, definitely could use a little attention on the maintenanceA decent pitching machine is cage rent only and it’s pricey so then you’re left with the coin operated machine switch, barely fit a basic pitching profile that you would need for practice50 miles an hour ball balls were too high in both cages that were available60 miles an hour, still too high.A neighboring parent suggested using 70 and told me that it would come down lower, but on the cage we were at, when you push 70, the pitching machine with malfunction and you’d have to go get your credit backSure would be nice if these facilities were better maintainedWish they were as nice as the one in MELISSA
