We are committed to being in the corner of our athletes for the duration of their lifespan. We want to teach our athletes the importance of commitment and staying focused on bettering themselves through all of the highs and lows life will bring. In order for us to accomplish our mission we must make sure our staff, athletes, and the entire Top Dog family understands there is more value to the sport than winning tournaments every weekend.

3 weeks agoMy daughter has been working at this facility since she was 8 years old and is now almost 13. She has learned valuable softball skills, as well as commitment, time management, academic focus, and community service. As they get older, they add in nutrition and recruitment! Bryce and his staff are dedicated at what they do and the time they spend with each of these girls. They have several coaches on staff, so my daughter gets attention from all different areas, as they each have their own expertise. Bryce and Garret are quick to respond to any concerns and are always available. I love having access to an indoor facility. It is top notch and when the current environment is playing in tournament after tournament after tournament, it is a breath of fresh air to see my daughter working in small group stations to fine tune her skills, whether it’s throwing for accuracy, bunting, feet work, pitching and catching, strength and conditioning, hitting, etc. Bryce is phenomenal at what he does. He knows the game so well and is 100% dedicated to what he does for all of these girls. I’ve been in the softball world for many years and hate what it has come to. I love what Bryce is doing with his facility and the girls that walk through his doors. Come join us! You won’t be disappointed and you’ll have fun with the parents too!

3 weeks agoI have proudly been with TDPC since day one. By first hand experience, this business is one that truly cares for the development of your kid, the community, and what has become of the youth sport world. There is also a nonprofit organization associated with TDPC that is stacked with the most experienced coaching staff who are there strictly for the kids. The coaching staff at every age level is filled with alumni who are well educated with their bachelor and master degrees, and who have played the game at the college level. With collegiate level experience, these coaches teach the fundamentals and get down to the nitty gritty to help your kid reach their highest potential. With college graduates in kinesiology and strength training, these coaches teach how to move your body correctly to insure safe body posture and composition when strength training or playing the game. With a dietitian on staff, TDPC members and Top Dog Athletics athletes get access to meal planning and what their input must be to get the most out of their output. To get the most out of your kid, TDPC provides academy sessions. THE most important part of this sport, or any sport in general, is repetition. It’s a game of failure, but how much work is being done on their own to ensure more success will be shown at practice and games, instead of coaches having to stop and reteach a basic fundamental that was gone over on day one. With academy sessions, athletes are able to get in extra repetitions outside of their own practices, could get a better understanding of a drill, get a deep dive into why it’s being done this way, etc. The extra practice also ensures that they are not falling behind in practices, that way practices can be ran with more flow and consistency.TDPC also provides state of the art technology that really helps their development if utilized correctly. Blast Motion Sensors are ran by the certification by the coaching staff. It offers immediate feedback to what the pathway of an athlete’s swing is. Coaches are able to analyze swings, provide feedback to an individual or a team, and be given visual graphics, all in practice or from home when practicing on your own. Hittrax gives the athlete the ability to work live offensive situations. Uplift is a brand new, up and coming, technology giving athletes immediate full body movement screening. The Futures App allows coaches to give athletes an at-home workout plan and the video uploads to hold accountability.TDPC and Top Dog Athletics are always looking for a way to give back to the community. They offer year-round community service drives and events. It not only gives athletes the chance to give back, but to learn a life outside of sports and to build an extracurricular resume for their college applications.I appreciate all that TDPC has done for the youth of sports and what’s become of it, especially after Covid-19 hit. It is home to many college athletes, near and far, when they are home for breaks or the offseason. Getting in with TD could benefit your child, no matter the level of play they are at. TD is a great learning environment and teaches athletes (and their families) what needs to be done to get to the collegiate level, and how much accountability, discipline, effort, and commitment can get you in this game.I support TDPC through and through. I suggest joining with them and get the most out of the utilities they offer to ensure getting to the next level of play.

3 weeks agoThis review is for 10u softball only. Forgive my grammar mistakes.Pros: I feel coaches are good for what they have been tasked to do. They have Indoor facility to run drills/practice during poor weather. My kids made good friends. Parents are great. These are the only reasons they did not get a 1 star review.Cons: promised a development academy team but got stacked on the comp team, I feel they will never have a true development team and just stack the roster of over 20 kids, too many kids to get any attention to fine details, not enough coaching staff to run a decent field practice (again you only have 2 coaches) and will have trouble correcting bad habits, expensive monthly dues compared to surrounding teams, literally zero parent meetings about concerns during my time there, won’t answer emails about concerns, poor tournament planning (scheduled a tournament on a 4th of July weekend out of town). There was a good relationship with kids/coaches but the parent/coaches relationship was not even present at all. Inconsistent enforcement of rules for being late or not showing up to practice and play time during games-kids see this. If your kid is on development team they will see almost zero play time until you can perform at or above the comp team players skill level-I saw kids ride the beach the entire season (with over 20 girls you are going to see this as you only need 9 to run a team). Again, expense, you get hotels and attend these tournaments with 20+ kids (on one team) just to sit there and get almost zero play with some of these kids. There was several siblings on the team so one sibling would play and the other would not. An umpire even made a remark to us something like “it’s a shame to see all these girls on the bench like that, something is wrong there”.All in all I felt my kids did grow as softball players but not at the rate they could have due to the structure of this organization.I felt they were really held back. How do you expect kids to grow/develop softball IQ if they don’t play the game? You can run drills all day but if they can’t actually play the game how are they going to develop or have any fun? Softball is supposed to be fun for these 9/10 year olds right? I would rather my kids play rec ball than attend another season with Top Dog as there is more hands on with rec ball and more playing time with rec ball. I feel the indoor practices are not as beneficial as field practice but are a good option when weather does not permit outdoor practice but we were there at least once per week indoors even if weather was good. I was new to travel ball and did not have any connections to the travel ball world but now I have a better understanding and more connections,-lesson learned. And talking with parents on the tournament scene, this has been going on for several years with this organization. These statements are not only mine, as many parents have the same sentiment towards this place. I hope this review is read by Bryce/management and changes are made since he doesn’t respond to emails or address concerns in person. As a parent, this season felt like a money grab and I got sucked into it. And you will ask, “Why didn’t you just leave then?” After buying uniforms, paying dues, and kids bonding , you cannot leave until the season ends due to the enormous investment and there are no try out late in the season.
